Recent and Past Activities
What’s your secret ingredient?? Whip up a batch of your favorite chili or perhaps try a new recipe and put it to the test at PRCW’s CHILI COOK OFF!! *Due to poor weather conditions this event had to be cancelled this year. It was to be outside to honor covid safety measures. This yearly "couples" event will return next year! Have your top secret recipes ready... |
Spooky Sweets Swap & Contest
Bake a Halloween themed dessert (or decorate something store-bought) and bring enough to share. We will display and sample everyone's creations and after we are "sampled out" we will vote on the top desserts - based on presentation and taste. The entries with the most votes will win a prize! At the end of the night everybody in attendance can fill a platter of desserts to take home with them and we will donate any leftover treats. |
Margarita Party!
This is a meeting not to miss! Come join fellow PRCW members and friends as we toast the end of summer and share stories of our summer adventures. This year we are moving the meeting to a Friday night, August 20th so save the date! The Board will be providing appetizers and margaritas. We encourage you to bring a friend to introduce them to our group! |

SEPTEMBER GENERAL MEETING: 60TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
What a wonderful 60th anniversary celebration we had in September! Thank you to the 40 wonderful women from both the PRCW and Park Ridge Jaycee Women's Club eras who attended, including several Jaycee Women's Club members who came in from out-of-town to join us. We celebrated our fascinating history: the good deeds and great initiatives undertaken and the friendships made.
Judy Szkwarek, a past president of the PR Jaycee Women's Club, spoke about how our group had a hand in starting many of the community events we take for granted today, including the community fireworks display, the free concerts in the park and the babysitter training course. It was wonderful to hear past and present members share memories, including those of the fantastic events held during the 70s - a party on a parked plane at O'Hare! Look for an overview of our history to be added on our website in the near future. Thank you to Lan E. for hosting the anniversary celebration.
